We play Garden Croquet as it’s quite sociable and competitive, we have six sessions of one hour with two teams of two playing against each other and the aim is to get your team’s balls through six hoops and then post out whilst your opposing team is trying to do the same for themselves and also stop you. This is when it gets quite competitive but still very enjoyable.

We have a mixed level of skill and experience and have had quite a few people who had never played croquet before who start from scratch and soon enjoy playing.

We only play in the summer and we don’t play in the rain.

We charge £1 per person per game so as to pay the Town Council for the maintenance of the lawn and to buy equipment and hire other lawns to play on.
