Pickleball is a rapidly growing paddle sport that is played on a badminton sized court but having a lower net. Aspects of the sport resemble tennis and table tennis but pickleball uses a solid rectangular paddle and a large ball of lightweight plastic.
It can be played at any level but is much less demanding than tennis or badminton as the ball travels more slowly while the smaller court makes it much gentler on the joints.
It is typically played as doubles, making it a highly social and engaging activity for players of all ages and fitness levels. We meet at 16:30 on Mondays at the Sturfit Leisure Centre, Honeymead lane.
