There is a wealth of research showing that as we grow older, active music-making can enhance social cohesion, increase personal development and help contribute to all-round wellbeing. The aim of the group is to enable anyone who wishes to join together with like-minded people, in order to learn and play the Ukulele. All levels of skill are welcome.
The ukulele is an easy instrument to learn and most newcomers will be able to play and sing a number of simple songs after a couple of meetings. We will use song sheets with chords shown, so you do not have to be able to read music. We meet every fortnight on Thursdays at 10:45 in Marnhull village hall until midday.
We have been very busy in the last 12 months playing at various gigs!
